After playing poker for many years, i think ive only just started to keep my emotions in check. I hate to lose like everyone but losing at poker is a completely different kind of feeling to losing at football or darts. You have the chance to re-play the game and win back the money. This can be dangerous and ive seen many people get gripped by tilt.
TILT
When your on tilt you start thinking crazy thoughts like you deserve a lucky hand. Start playing hands youd never usually play but the game owes you a hand. Its craziness. You begin to bet twice, triple and more than you would usually on hands you'd usually not entertain in playing. You can lose more on tilt in 15mins than your likely to make in hours of playing normally.
Dont's
Try and win your money back within 1 hand
Think that AK should win because you got so unlucky before
Start looking for revenge.
Play with more money than you can afford to lose
Reload in quick succession
play drunk
REMEMBER
2,7 can beat AA
its a game of luck
fishing is part of poker
The game owes you nothing
Play to enjoy
SUSPECTED TILT
On the odd occasion you can use tilt or suspected tilt to your advantage if you've just got really unlucky and then get aa or kk you can draw a player into the hand by betting big. He thinks your on the edge and you take him for a large amount.
Remember at some point poker hurts!
